Job Summary
Senior Automation QA Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, and TestNG. Create scalable, reusable automated test scripts for web applications and APIs; develop solutions for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing; improve test coverage and automation efficiency across multiple applications. Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specs to create comprehensive test strategies; develop detailed test plans, test cases, and execution reports. Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and smoke testing; validate RESTful APIs; verify API contracts and data integrity; execute SQL validations; integrate automated suites into CI/CD; collaborate with DevOps to enable automated quality gates; monitor results and provide detailed analysis. Lead QA activities across projects, mentor junior QA engineers, and drive continuous QA improvement. Preferred skills include BDD with Cucumber, microservices testing, Docker/Kubernetes exposure, performance testing with JMeter, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and SonarQube/code quality tools.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years experience in automation QA
- Strong expertise in Java
- Extensive experience with TestNG
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
- API testing experience using REST Assured or Postman
- Automation framework design and development
- Experience with SQL for database testing
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to design and maintain automation frameworks and lead QA activities
