Job Summary
Develop automated laboratory solutions for Next-Generation Sequencing assays by designing, developing, and implementing automated liquid handler methods. Integrate automation software with external systems like LIMS and support design transfer across multiple sites. Mentor junior engineers, train laboratory personnel, and lead Human Factors and product risk management activities including Hazard Analysis and FMEA. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure development adheres to regulations, SOPs, and industry standards while participating in new product design. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Biological Sciences, 5+ years of product development experience, and extensive Hamilton Venus programming skills. Base pay ranges from $78,000 to $156,000.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Biological Sciences or field as outlined in the essential duties
- 5+ years of relevant experience in product development
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation
- Legal authorization to work in the country of employment without current or future sponsorship
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds for approximately 5% of a typical working day
- Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel
- Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization
- Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day
- Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements
- Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance
