Job Summary
Build automation frameworks and pipelines from the ground up for the Onviser platform, designing standards that underpin quality across web and mobile. Develop and maintain automated testing while performing manual and exploratory testing to assess risk and define effective strategies. Shape acceptance criteria, automate compliance workflow checks, and act as the quality owner to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to improve testability and build quality into every release, driving continuous improvement through data and modern tooling.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in QA, Software Testing or Automation Engineering within product teams
- Proven experience designing and building test automation frameworks from the ground up
- Strong experience with modern automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or Postman
- Solid manual and exploratory testing capability with the ability to assess risk and define effective test strategies
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, Jenkins or CircleCI)
- Working knowledge of cloud environments, preferably AWS
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and experimentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Design and Engineering teams to build quality into every release
- Applicants for this position should hold a valid visa to work full-time in NZ
Desired Qualifications
- ISTQB certification (or equivalent) is advantageous
- A strong grounding in manual testing would certainly help here
