Senior Automation Engineer

Job Summary
Perform equipment evaluations, troubleshoot mechanical and automated systems, and monitor reliability metrics to ensure quality output and regulatory compliance. Execute backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures for automation and vision engineering solutions while maintaining the Automation Archives. Act as the single point of contact for assigned areas, providing technical leadership through investigations, equipment assessments, and design support. Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to execute mission objectives and lead projects improving vision/automation systems via Quality Change Control. Serve as System Administrator for manufacturing and inspection systems, managing user access and security updates.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or Higher
- Preferred Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Computer Engineering
- 2+ years in industrial automation software, robotics, or machine vision controls
- Experience in an FDA regulated industry (e.g. Pharmaceuticals, Medical Device)
- detailed knowledge of programming of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), machine vision systems, and/or Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred 2 or more years industrial automation/machine vision controls experience
