Job Summary
Create project documents, PLC programs, and HMI applications from user requirements. Design electrical schematic packages, perform sizing calculations for power and network traffic, and specify VFD and servo drives. Lead assigned teams in the field, define work scope, and validate systems against project documentation. Work with clients to develop proposals and carry projects through completion. Requires 6+ years of industrial automation experience; up to 25% travel. Excel Engineering delivers electrical and automation solutions across life sciences, oil & gas, and utilities sectors.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of six (6), or more, years' experience as an industrial control system/automation engineer
- Industrial electrical design experience in the following industries: Consumer Goods, Renewable Energy; Gas Processing, Chemical, Power, Waste Management or Pharmaceutical
- Willingness to travel, up to 25%
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution or equivalent experience
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 Scale
- Burner Management Experience
- Combustion Control Experience
- NFPA 85
- Professional Engineer or Fundamentals of Engineering License
