Job Summary
The Senior Automation Engineer will support manufacturing processes and oversee continuous improvement initiatives at Atkore. Responsibilities include managing projects, developing solutions for production issues, implementing SCADA systems, and ensuring compliance with safety codes. Qualified candidates will have a BS in Engineering and extensive experience in industrial manufacturing and automation, particularly with Rockwell PLC and AutoCAD. Lean manufacturing and project management skills are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum of 7 - 10 years of experience in Process/Manufacturing Engineering
- Strong industrial controls skills
- Experience with Rockwell PLC programming and AutoCAD
- Experience with medium voltage power and transformers
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in steel roll forming and processing
- Lean manufacturing or business system background
- Strong knowledge of industrial electronics
- Experience with SCADA systems, Wonderware or similar
- Capability to Manage diverse, simultaneous projects of varying complexities
