Job Summary
Take responsibility for customers' private high-voltage networks by providing switching services and issuing permits to meet contractual needs across wind farms and private industrial sites in the Midlands and South of England. Perform hands-on maintenance activities and manage small remedial or project works in remote locations, including covering regional call-outs on a rota. Maintain authorisation up to 33kV (ideally) or 11kV minimum, and hold relevant climbing tickets or be prepared to undertake training. Work independently away from the office with close supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Authorised as a 11kV SAP able to work on networks
- Experience of providing the above duties to Wind farms and Private Networks
- Prepared to be take turns on rota and cover regional call outs
- Self-starter and able to work on own initiative as will be working away from office without close supervision on remote Wind Farms
- Voltage levels required 11kV and above
- Geographical area to be covered – Midlands and South of England role too
- Type(s) of work – Mainly Windfarms / Private Network Clients such as Airports, Factories, Public Buildings, Universities etc
- Ability to undertake hands on maintenance activities and manage small remedial / project works in remote locations
- Due to requirement of working on Wind Farms, you will require relevant climbing tickets / qualifications (GWO) OR be prepared to undertake the relevant training
