Job Summary
Senior Auditor will execute risk-based internal audits across the North America Insurance segment, assess the design and operating effectiveness of key controls, including walkthroughs, testing, and documentation of results, and leverage data analytics to enhance audit coverage. The role partners with business leaders to identify risks, deliver actionable insights, and support remediation. Responsibilities include performing financial control testing in Underwriting, Claims, and Operations, coordinating with external auditors, evaluating governance and control environments, and communicating findings with clarity to stakeholders. Travel up to 15% may be required. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Risk Management, 4+ years in insurance audit, knowledge of regulatory environments, strong analytical skills, and ability to manage competing priorities; CIA or CPA is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or related discipline
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in insurance (property & casualty or reinsurance preferred)
- Prior internal audit, external audit, and/or underwriting audit experience required
- Basic knowledge of state and federal regulatory insurance environments
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Effective organizational and workload management capabilities
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) a plus
