Job Summary
Plan, lead, and oversee complex audit initiatives and projects within the Financial Crimes domain, ensuring execution aligns with established standards and regulatory guidelines. Manage concurrent projects requiring specialized knowledge of AML/BSA, testing, and compliance, while providing supervisory oversight to teams and stakeholders. Lead follow-up on findings from internal audits and regulatory reviews, communicate reporting processes to senior management and external auditors, and facilitate discussions to identify control weaknesses and operational efficiencies. Act as a subject matter expert to design solutions, integrate cross-functional processes, and provide thought leadership to the executive audience on emerging trends and risks.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Must be a strong Internal Auditor with an AML/BSA/Testing/CoE on a Financial Crimes Team background in the banking/financial industry
- Relevant professional certifications
- accounting designations (CAMS and/or CIA)
- Strong Formal People Manager/Stakeholder Business Relationship experience
- Proficient to work multi-functionally, provide guidance to other team members and ensure good relations across teams and functions to work on projects that may require integration of cross functional processes
- Strong communication (written and verbal) skills to interact clearly and effectively in a fast-changing environment
- Hands on knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook) and Internet applications
