Job Summary
Senior Audio-Visual Technician leading installation, testing, and troubleshooting of high-end residential AV systems; mentors junior technicians; configures and programs AV equipment from Savant, Crestron, Control4, and Lutron; reads blueprints and wiring diagrams; ensures projects meet timelines and budgets; collaborates with Project Managers; stays current with AV technologies and industry best practices; contributes to training and team development.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as an Audio-Visual Technician in a residential setting
- Extensive experience installing and troubleshooting a wide range of AV systems and components
- Proven expertise with automation platforms (e.g., Savant Systems, Crestron, Control4, Lutron)
- Strong understanding of low-voltage wiring, networking, and IP-based systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams
- Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CTS, CEDIA) are a plus
