Senior Attorney – Trade and Lending

Job Summary
Review, draft, and negotiate documents for trade and lending products including export finance, import finance, cards, and commercial receivables. Stay abreast of key regulatory agendas to advise on interpretations, assess legal risks, and support market innovation initiatives. Participate in regional and global efforts to develop templates, best practices, and procedures for facilities and deals. Provide legal and regulatory support for lending, trade finance, supply chain finance, and bank guarantees while collaborating with the banking team on institutional matters. Requires a licensed Brazilian attorney with seven years of financial sector experience and fluency in English.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer with at least 7 years of legal experience in the financial sector, notably covering trade finance, lending, receivables finance and payments
- Licensed attorney in Brazil
- Fluent in English
- Strong regulatory background
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong interpersonal skills, team-oriented, and ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders
- Ability to apply technical product knowledge and experience to complex and innovative transactions and products
- Strong commercial focus with a solution-driven approach
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and respond to multiple demands
- Ability to adapt and apply legal skills in new business areas and subjects where the lawyer may not have expertise, and willingness to develop and excel beyond their comfort zone
