Required Qualifications

  • Doctorate of Jurisprudence (JD) or equivalent
  • Indiana Bar Admission in good standing
  • 5+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney
  • Strong knowledge of statutes, case law, and rules pertinent to disability rights, civil rights, education, health care, and employment
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Experience using a case management system to manage docket, case information, and parties
  • Strong legal research and litigation writing skills
  • Ability to recruit, train, and supervise staff or attorneys (leadership role)
  • Ability to oversee contracts and provide legal advice related to agency operations
  • Eligibility to work within Indiana and meet state employment requirements
