Senior Associate Veeva RIM Configuration Engineer

Job Summary

Lead and oversee Vault RIM configuration across assigned domains, eliciting requirements and translating them into configuration specifications and traceable user stories. Partner with Technical Lead, Platform Services, and Enterprise Architecture Management to ensure solution designs align with platform standards, security, and computerized system validation expectations. Own end-to-end delivery of configuration changes from intake through build, test, deployment, and hypercare while managing scope, dependencies, and stakeholder communications. Serve on a SAFe Agile team, contributing to PI planning, backlog refinement, and sprint execution to support global regulatory business processes. Provide technical guidance and peer mentoring to configuration specialists through design reviews and reusable patterns, building knowledge assets to improve delivery consistency and supportability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience configuring and supporting Veeva Vault applications
  • Strong understanding of Vault platform capabilities and configuration concepts (security model, objects/fields, lifecycles/workflows, rules, and environment management), including limitations and design trade-offs
  • Working knowledge of integration and data concepts relevant to Vault (e.g., REST APIs, ETL patterns, SSO)
  • Experience partnering with engineering teams to deliver integrations and operational reporting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and influence decisions across a matrixed organization
  • Experience with Agile delivery and SDLC controls, including requirements traceability, testing practices, change management, and release governance in a regulated environment (CSV)
  • Demonstrated ability to drive standardization and continuous improvement (e.g., reusable configuration patterns, automation where applicable, improved supportability) while balancing stakeholder needs and platform constraints
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, supportable solutions
  • Able to perform effective troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across environments

Desired Qualifications

  • demonstrated depth in Vault RIM
  • Experience supporting Regulatory business processes and/or working in the Life Sciences industry
  • Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and/or Scrum delivery
  • relevant certification (e.g., SAFe Scrum Master)
  • Veeva Vault certification(s)
  • experience with multi-vault, global deployments (multiple studies/regions) and complex integration landscapes
