Job Summary
Senior Associate to Principal-level Project Manager at WSP (Geo-Environmental Engineering, Australia) leads multidisciplinary design and construction projects from concept through completion. Responsibilities include leading a team of construction and engineering specialists, managing full project lifecycles for design & construction with focus on ground engineering, contaminated land, and geo-environmental solutions; delivering on-time and within budget; driving schedule, cost, risk, revenue, and contract variation management with robust financial controls; stakeholder engagement with clients, authorities, consultants, subcontractors, and end-users; supporting business development through proposals and opportunity identification; championing health, safety, environment, and sustainability; mentoring junior engineers; and contributing to change management initiatives. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in engineering (postgraduate geotechnical or tailings management highly regarded), professional project management experience (PMP certification preferred), proven track record in multidisciplinary civil infrastructure projects, strong financial acumen, proficiency with MS Project or Primavera P6, and excellent communication and leadership skills. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
- postgraduate qualifications in geotechnical engineering or tailings management highly regarded
- professional project management experience
- PMP certification (preferred)
- proven track record managing multidisciplinary projects in construction or civil infrastructure
- strong financial acumen with forecasting, estimating, and cost management
- proficiency in MS Project or Primavera P6
- excellent communication and leadership skills
- commitment to safety and sustainability
- ability to mentor junior engineers
- experience in designing and delivering D&C projects focusing on ground engineering and geo-environmental solutions
