Job Summary
Conduct financial analysis and business process reviews supporting high-profile initiatives for MTA executive leadership to improve economic efficiency and service quality. Execute the quantitative and analytical side of projects critical to reshaping the agency into a more cost-effective organization, including detailed business cases, financial modeling, and rigorous data analysis. Provide analytic support to HQ departments to inform critical decisions impacting cost structure and productivity through benchmarking and trend evaluation. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while collaborating with interdepartmental working groups to optimize resource allocation and revised business practices.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- demonstrated quantitative skills
- proficiency in Excel modeling
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- talent to communicate complex quantitative concepts clearly and succinctly to internal stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills
- established history of working on projects requiring group consensus and cooperation among people with no direct reporting relationships

- Master's Degree in business, finance, mathematics, statistics, or other highly analytical discipline
Desired Qualifications
- May need to work outside of normal work hours (i.e., evenings and weekends)
- Travel may be required to other MTA locations or other external sites
