Job Summary
Senior Associate, Settlement responsible for overseeing merchant settlements and reconciliation, chargeback management, stakeholder communication, risk and compliance, reporting and analysis, and process improvement within Flutterwave's Global Operations. Key duties include daily/weekly/monthly merchant settlements, reviewing transaction details for accuracy and policy compliance, investigating and responding to chargeback disputes, coordinating with banks and payment networks, implementing strategies to minimize fraud risk, generating settlement and chargeback reports, and driving data-driven improvements. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (advanced degree preferred) and a minimum of 5 years in settlements/chargeback processing in the payments industry; strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication, leadership ability, and proficiency with payment platforms, CRM systems, and Excel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in settlements, chargeback processing within the payments industry
- In-depth knowledge of payment processing systems, settlement procedures, and chargeback regulations
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; leadership experience
- Detail-oriented and highly organized; proficient with payment processing platforms, CRM systems, and Microsoft Excel
