Job Summary
Senior Associate Scientist role focused on immunology and B cell biology. Responsible for optimizing strategies to elicit robust B cell responses in vivo, characterizing B cell development in genetically engineered mice, and developing approaches to characterize plasma cell responses. Tasks include planning and executing in vivo mouse immunization studies, ELISA-based assays to measure antibody responses, multi-color flow cytometry staining/analysis, primary B cell culture, and presenting data in group settings. Requires experience designing and executing experiments, data interpretation, and strong organizational skills; collaboration and adaptability are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of experience in a cellular immunology research laboratory or Master's degree with at least 2 years of experience in a cellular immunology research laboratory (academia or industry)
- Experience with vaccination, tissue isolation, blood sampling, multi-parameter flow cytometry, and ELISA is required
- Knowledge of B cell and plasma cell biology; experience in primary culture of B cells and plasma cells is a plus
- Ability to drive a project under supervision, design/execute experiments, interpret data and present figures
- Strong organization and documentation skills (lab notebook, detailed records)
- Collaborative and adaptable team player
