Job Summary
Senior-level role leading and conducting R&D tax credit engagements for clients in a multidisciplinary Tax practice. Responsibilities include leading client interviews and discussions, performing tax technical research, developing business and industry expertise, communicating directly with client personnel, managing multiple projects with data gathering and coordination of resources, drafting opinion letters, responses to IRS inquiries, and other technical memoranda. Requires strong Microsoft Office proficiency, excellent oral and written communication, and ability to travel to client locations. Familiarity with IRC sections 174 and 41, and related regulations and authorities is required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years of recent tax experience in a public accounting firm or corporate taxation experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Access
- Experience performing internet research
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to travel and work at client locations
- Technical skills and experience with research and development deduction and credit Internal Revenue Code sections (including, but not limited to, sections 174 & 41), corresponding regulations and relevant judicial and administrative authority
