Job Summary
Senior Associate, Principal Gifts & Engagement supports the Vice President to launch and operationalize the inaugural principal gifts strategy, acting as a core engine for critical pipelines, briefing processes, and metrics. The role manages the VP’s premier donor portfolio, coordinates executive and Board briefings, develops highly personalized proposals and stewardship materials, and collaborates across Donor Relations, Events, Prospect Research, and Central Operations to ensure precise, high-impact donor engagements. Responsibilities include coordinating multi-year engagement schedules, producing board-ready briefings and tailored proposals, leveraging Salesforce and analytics to track portfolio performance, and facilitating seamless cross-functional collaboration to support eight-figure investments. This is a hybrid role based at the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, with responsibilities focused on delivering precise donor experiences and data-driven fundraising outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience in nonprofit development, strategic operations, or executive-level frontline fundraising support
