Senior Associate, Portfolio Management

Job Summary

Own the portfolio onboarding process, directing junior team members and coordinating with the investments team to carry newly closed projects from signature to fully funded assets. Lead debt and tax equity fundings end to end, acting as the primary point of contact for lenders and investors while resolving funding conditions and diligence issues. Take a lead workstream role in capital formation at the corporate level, helping structure, market, and close corporate credit facilities, holdco debt, and equity capital. Manage ongoing corporate vehicles post-close, overseeing borrowing base, covenant compliance, draws, repayments, and lender reporting. Build and maintain the corporate capital model, including sources and uses, liquidity forecasting, and scenario analysis. Contribute to corporate FP&A by building the operating budget, performing variance analysis, and providing management with clear reads on liquidity and capital needs. Mentor analysts and associates, reviewing their work and codifying team execution standards. This full-time, hybrid role is based in Jersey City, New Jersey, with a requirement for a Master's degree and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field
  • Master's degree in finance, business, or a related field
  • Juris Doctor
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience across portfolio management, corporate finance, investment banking, or project finance
  • Experience onboarding deals, managing portfolio-related transactions, and working with credit agreements, LLC agreements, and other transaction documents
  • Direct experience executing capital raises at the corporate level and administering those vehicles after close (corporate credit facilities, holdco debt, or equity financings)
  • Advanced financial modeling skills, including extensive experience working in models covering sources and uses, liquidity, and covenant compliance
  • FP&A experience (budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis) with the ability to turn results into recommendations senior management can act on
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex processes and direct resources across multiple teams and third-party providers, with minimal oversight
  • Experience mentoring, reviewing the work of, or supervising junior team members
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Paralegal experience in such a setting
  • Hands-on experience with the operating phase of infrastructure or real assets, including covenant and DSCR compliance testing, distributions, and lender reporting
  • Experience in renewable energy, particularly solar and storage
