Job Summary
Senior Associate in sponsor finance group focused on debt finance work, including acquisition financings, dividend and recapitalizations, asset-based facilities, general working capital facilities, portfolio company management, restructurings, and debtor-in-possession financings. Requires a Juris Doctorate and admission or eligibility for admission to the Illinois, Texas, or New York bar, with 4-6 years of relevant experience; candidates relocating to major markets (New York, Chicago, Dallas, Houston) considered. Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate degree (JD)
- Admission or eligibility for admission to the Illinois, Texas or New York bar
- 4-6 years of experience representing borrowers, private equity sponsors, financial institutions, direct lenders and other investors in debt finance (acquisition financings, dividends and recapitalizations, asset-based facilities, working capital facilities, restructurings, debtor-in-possession financings)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Prior experience mentoring junior associates and staff is a plus
