Job Summary
Senior Associate attorney to join Maron Marvel’s Philadelphia office as part of the General Liability and Toxic Tort Practice Groups. Lead and manage a high-volume asbestos litigation docket from inception through trial in state and federal courts; supervise and mentor junior attorneys, paralegals, and staff; develop case strategies, including liability analysis, discovery planning, and trial preparation; draft pleadings and complex filings; coordinate with expert witnesses and national counsel; attend court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations; maintain proactive client communication and contribute to business development within toxic tort and asbestos practice.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and in good standing
- Minimum of 10 years of litigation experience with asbestos and toxic tort matters in state and federal courts
- Demonstrated experience leading litigation teams and managing complex, high-exposure cases
- Trial experience and strong deposition practice preferred
- Familiarity with litigation management platforms, e-discovery systems, and document management software
- Strong analytical, legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Proven ability to independently manage a large caseload while supervising others
- Excellent organizational, case management, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, experts, co-counsel, and courts in a professional and strategic manner
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail in a collaborative team environment
- Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and contributing to client development and retention efforts
