Job Summary
Senior Associate leads identification, evaluation, negotiation, and acquisition of institutional-quality neighborhood retail and mixed-use assets across the United States, overseeing financial structuring, due diligence, and closing. The role involves sourcing acquisitions through stakeholder relationships, negotiating purchase/sale agreements, providing analytics and underwriting support, guiding junior acquisition professionals, overseeing due diligence and closing, and presenting investment committee memorandums. The position requires strong leadership, negotiation, financial analysis, and high attention to detail within a fast-paced, team-oriented Los Angeles regional environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7+ years’ experience in real estate investments, asset management, or capital markets
- Proven track record of successful real estate acquisitions, negotiations and deal structuring
- Deep understanding of and experience with real estate acquisitions and principal ownership
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams as well as foster the development of junior employees
- Strong negotiation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated track record of interpersonal relationship development
- Excellence in financial analysis and ability to synthesize ideas to Senior Management; Advanced Excel modeling experience required
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and capable of effective independent judgment
- Unwavering compliance with deadlines
- Acute attention to detail and passion for quality and excellence
- Strong organizational and process skills to manage multiple competing priorities
