Job Summary
Support the implementation of the UN Foundation's Pandemic Risk Assessment initiative, malaria advocacy, and related global health priorities. Conduct research and analysis on pandemic preparedness, infectious disease threats, and emerging health issues. Draft and edit written products including concept notes, briefing materials, reports, and communications for stakeholder engagement. Coordinate planning groups, advisory forums, and workshops involving participant outreach, agenda development, and logistics. Manage project timelines, deliverables, and administrative functions for grants, contracts, and consultant agreements. Engage with scientific experts, government representatives, and multilateral organizations to advance project objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in public health, international affairs, or a related field
- 2-4 years of progressively responsible experience in global health, international development, research, program management, policy, or a related field
- Excellent writing, editing, and analytical skills
- Strong research skills
- Demonstrated project management support function
- Strong administrative and operational skills
- Experience coordinating meetings, workshops, conferences, or stakeholder engagement activities
- Experience developing written materials such as reports, briefing papers, presentations, talking points, meeting summaries, donor updates, and executive correspondence
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse partners
- Familiarity with global health issues
- Ability to meet regular attendance/tardiness policy
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment
- Advanced experience with Microsoft tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Sharepoint and Teams
- You are expected to commute to the office three (3) days per week
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with pandemic preparedness, infectious diseases, malaria, or related topics
- Familiarity with the global health ecosystem and experience engaging with key stakeholders involved in pandemic preparedness, infectious disease prevention and response, global health financing, or malaria, including organizations such as WHO, the Pandemic Fund, CEPI, Gavi, the Global Fund, CDC, and related partners
