Job Summary
Source pipeline, screen business plans, and support due diligence through financial analysis, modeling, and industry research. Develop detailed financial models, assist with structuring and valuation analyses, and review term sheets and legal documentation. Prepare investment memorandums and present recommendations to governance committees, executives, and city officials. Monitor fund portfolios, generate impact reporting, and design new investment programs. Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, and Strategy teams to evaluate strategic opportunities and support organizational priorities. Requires 3+ years of transactional experience, strong financial modeling skills, and NYC residency within 180 days. Salary range $90,000–$92,000 USD.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree
- At least 3 years of transactional experience in a relevant field (e.g., investing, investment banking, private equity, real estate finance)
- Proven financial analysis skills, including financial modeling, underwriting and/or valuation, and quantitative analysis
- Proficiency using spreadsheet and presentation applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and engagement with external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining organization, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Demonstrated analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate information, identify trends, and develop evidence-based recommendations
- Demonstrated sound judgment, with the ability to assess opportunities and support informed decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to assess opportunities through analytical and critical thinking to support sound decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to manage work independently and contribute effectively within cross-functional teams
- NYC residency is required within 180 days of hire
