Job Summary
Lead advanced project controls for utility construction projects, managing scope, cost, schedule, contracts, and risk. Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to monitor performance using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Power BI. Develop and maintain schedule baselines, cost forecasts, and reports while performing variance analysis to ensure baseline alignment. Conduct progress monitoring, track key performance indicators, and identify risks early to provide recommendations for corrective actions. Manage documentation including change logs, RFIs, risk registers, and meeting minutes. Participate in project meetings, conduct site visits, and promote effective communication and accountability across cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the construction industry, project management, or construction consulting
- At least 2 years focused on scheduling, cost control, forecasting, and project performance analysis
- Demonstrated knowledge and implementation of best practices in project controls
- Demonstrated expertise in project control processes, including baseline management, budget and cost management and control, progress tracking and reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Strong technical skills in schedule development, maintenance, management, analysis, and quality assurance
- Experience in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
