Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain Python-based data ingestion pipelines to extract and load data from APIs, Kafka event streams, and databases into Snowflake. Develop and optimize production-grade data models using dbt to transform raw datasets into clean, structured tables while partnering with stakeholders to define key metrics. Ensure data integrity by monitoring pipeline health, setting up validation checks, and troubleshooting data quality issues. Maintain thorough data documentation and schemas to support a transparent, data-driven culture. This full-time, in-person hybrid role offers a base salary of $100,000-$120,000 plus discretionary bonus, with benefits including 401(k) match and health insurance. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline
- Strong programming proficiency in Python
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational database fundamentals
- 1–2+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake
- Familiarity with or an eagerness to learn about event streaming (Kafka) and modern data pipeline architectures
- Strong analytical and debugging skills
- Capacity to troubleshoot pipeline issues, analyze data flows, and solve unstructured technical problems
- Familiarity with using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code) for script composition, debugging, and navigating unfamiliar frameworks
- This is a full-time, in-person hybrid position
