Job Summary
Develop and compare battery system concepts, translating requirements into feasible engineering solutions with clear risk mitigation plans. Create 3D CAD models for sheet metal, castings, and enclosures while integrating cooling hardware and high-voltage harness routing provisions. Apply GD&T standards, perform tolerance stack-ups, and manage design releases using Teamcenter PLM. Define load cases for simulations, support test planning, and drive DFMEA/PFMEA to validate design integrity. Execute structured design reviews, manage APQP deliverables, and engage suppliers to ensure manufacturability and dimensional control. This role requires 5 days of office work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or similar
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design for battery systems, power electronics, or energy & power applications
- Proficiency with 3D CAD and drawing practices
- experience with Teamcenter PLM for product data management and release processes
- Working knowledge of HV packaging constraints (clearance/creepage), sealing/IP, and integration of thermal and harness routing provisions
- 5days working from office
