Job Summary

Senior Associate in the London Technology Team of Houlihan Lokey's Corporate Finance practice. The role involves preparing and analysing historical and projected financial information, building and validating financial models, coordinating due diligence, preparing confidential information memoranda and client presentations, and leading marketing and engagement planning. Responsibilities include valuing companies, leading marketing engagements, maintaining client relationships, supervising junior staff, and contributing to project delivery across M&A advisory, debt and equity financing, refinancings, and leveraged buyouts. The environment emphasizes a results-driven, entrepreneurial culture with substantial responsibility and interaction with senior professionals and clients.

Required Qualifications

  • 2:1 or equivalent degree
  • 5+ years of investment banking experience in M&A Advisory
  • Experience/knowledge in the Technology sector will be favourably regarded
  • Fundamental understanding of financial valuation methodologies, and applications
  • Advanced Financial modelling and analytical abilities; Strong LBO and DCF modelling skills
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills
  • Understanding of financial statements analysis with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Independent thinker and resourceful problem solver driven to succeed
  • Strong work ethic, organisational skills and ability to multitask is crucial
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong academic track record
  • 2:1 or equivalent degree

  • Experience in transactional services, consulting or corporate development also acknowledged if in conjunction with M&A Advisory
  • Experience/knowledge in the Technology sector will be favourably regarded
