Senior Associate - Client Accounting Services

Job Summary
Perform, supervise, and review complex accounting tasks including reconciliations, journal entries, coding expenses, bill payments, and accounts receivable for multiple entities. Oversee annual accounting procedures to prepare records for tax preparation, 1099s, and tangible personal property returns, while identifying material misstatements and evaluating inconsistencies in financial reports. Prepare and review compilations on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis based on client requirements, analyze organizational structures, and train associates to foster growth. Communicate effectively with team members and clients to address project statuses, manage multiple engagements to meet deadlines, and contribute to team efforts through collaboration and knowledge sharing. Meet annual billable hour targets and maintain flexibility to work beyond regular hours to fulfill firm productivity goals.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in general accounting
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Strong understanding of complex accounting principles, including GAAP and financial reporting frameworks
- Proficiency in learning and using accounting software and related tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration and client interactions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Accurate mathematical and financial analysis skills
- Ability to work independently while also coaching newer team members and seeking support from leadership as needed
- Analytical thinking to identify and address inconsistencies in financial reporting
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills where solutions are proactively proposed to relevant parties
- Proactive approach to delivering a high-quality customer experience in a multi-client environment
- Full-time commitment and flexibility to work beyond regular hours to meet team deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- CPA license or eligible (preferred)
