Job Summary
Manage property and casualty incidents including investigation, follow up, and closure within authority, handling claims for auto, general liability, property, workers' compensation, builder's risk, pollution, and professional liability. Draft settlement recommendation memorandums, liaise with insurance company professionals, and pursue subrogation recovery when warranted. Assist in litigation support by coordinating depositions, tracking legal holds, and managing attorney calendars. Analyze incident and claims data to generate internal reports and contribute to captive insurance management. Work in conjunction with the Legal team and maintain a list of approved vendors. This full-time role reports to the Senior Manager in Falls Church, VA with a minimum 4-day per week in-office schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience handling property & casualty insurance claims
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Economics, Safety, or related fields
- Experience in the architecture/engineering/construction (AEC) field or commercial real estate development
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Economics, Safety, or related fields preferred, but not required; in lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable
- Experience in the architecture/engineering/construction (AEC) field or commercial real estate development highly desirable
