Job Summary
The Senior Assistant Supportive Housing Manager will assist the Supportive Housing Manager in leading and training staff, managing daily operations of the housing program, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and policies. Responsibilities include staff development, responding to tenant requests, managing emergencies, coordinating community relationships, and overseeing administrative reporting. Qualifications include a high school degree or equivalent, 2 or more years of relevant experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong communication and analytical skills, and a commitment to working in a Supportive Housing Model. Experience with diverse populations and in non-profit sectors is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School degree or equivalent required
- BA/BS degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in property management and/or 3 years of experience in social work/case management in a Supportive Housing Model
- Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to produce and analyze reports, and write business correspondence
- Ability to communicate clearly to a broad range of people
- Ability to read, understand, and apply language from manuals, policies, technical procedures, and instructions
- Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in conflict resolution
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Must read, communicate orally, and write in English
- Ability to manage multiple projects with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment
- Pass all post-contingency offer background checks, reference checks, and TB screening clearances
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working effectively with diverse, low-income, homeless and/or formerly homeless population strongly preferred
- Experience working in non-profit or public sector preferred
- Experience training and supervising staff preferred
- Basic understanding of the eviction process and terms of tenancy preferred
- Understanding of a Harm Reduction Model preferred
