Job Summary
Represent and support the High West mission as Manager on Duty, delivering a five-star experience for every guest. Support the team by hiring, training, and retaining top-performing Front of House staff while providing floor leadership to ensure operational excellence. Maintain cleanliness standards across all stations and building areas, develop employees through coaching and direct feedback, and manage workgroups to support restaurant and event operations. Complete delegated tasks from the Manager, Site Lead efficiently, lead pre-service execution, and participate in seasonal training for menu launches. Maintain open availability based on guest demand and business needs.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of guest-facing floor management or lead experience in a restaurant or bar environment
- Proven ability to exceed guest expectations and lead teams effectively
- Strong communication and team-building skills
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve problems in real time
- Demonstrated ability to balance guest, staff, and business needs
- Must be able to move up to 55 lbs
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods, including working at a computer for long durations
- Lifting may be required
Desired Qualifications
- 8+ years of guest-facing floor management experience in a restaurant or bar environment
- Extensive floor service experience, such as serving or bartending, in a similar business
- Proven success developing employees for growth within an organization
- Experience implementing operational policies and procedures that meet or exceed business metrics
