Job Summary
Senior-level leadership role in Singapore’s Nuclear Planning & Strategy, responsible for drafting amendments to legislation and developing a comprehensive legal and regulatory framework for nuclear safety, security and safeguards; will determine policy decisions, study options and prepare policy recommendations, and interact with international bodies (IAEA, OECD-Nuclear Energy Agency) to shape Singapore’s nuclear regulatory landscape; opportunities to collaborate with international experts, build emergency preparedness and response capabilities, and engage internal and external stakeholders; requires driving implementation roadmaps and timelines for drafting and enacting new legislation, as well as ensuring regulatory readiness domestically and regionally; travel overseas for official trips will be required.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant training in public policy or related disciplines
- Qualifications in science or engineering fields are advantageous
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience
- Excellent analytical, coordination and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Aptitude to understand concepts in radiation protection and nuclear technology
- Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders clearly
- Ability to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to travel overseas for official trips
