Job Summary
Validate, quantify, and perform system and risk assessments on complex building claims to support accurate, fair, and timely claim decision-making. Inspect buildings to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations while mitigating financial risks associated with property assessments. Produce accurate, valid, and reliable property assessments leveraging experience in real estate valuation or related financial services fields. Requires a minimum of five years as a Building Desktop Assessor with three to four years in short-term insurance and property assessment.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma
- Matric/ Grade 12
- Short-Term Insurance qualification – NQF5
- Civil Engineering, Construction and Physical Planning (Advantages)
- 3-4 years experience within the Short-Term Insurance Industry
- 3-4 years Experience in inspecting buildings to ensure compliance with specifications and building regulations as well as experience in mitigating financial risks associated with property assessments
- 5-7 years demonstrated ability to produce accurate, valid, and reliable property assessments as well as experience in property assessment, real estate valuation, or a related field within the banking or financial services industry
- minimum 5 years experience as a Building Desktop Assessor
