Senior ASIC Verification Engineer

Job Summary
Develop high-speed digital components for advanced optical transmission systems by creating verification strategies, test plans, and testbenches using SystemVerilog UVM and C. Collaborate with designers, architects, and system engineers to validate functional blocks, apply formal verification and functional coverage, and debug failures through regression monitoring. Report status updates and ensure comprehensive validation of next-gen networking products using protocols like OTN and Ethernet. Requires a degree in electrical or computer engineering, proficiency in SystemVerilog, C, or Python, and availability for on-site work in Ottawa three days per week.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (BEng/BSc or MEng/MSc)
- Proven experience in digital verification and simulation techniques
- Knowledge of formal verification methods and functional coverage strategies
- Familiarity with protocols such as OTN, B100G, and Ethernet
- Proficiency in one or more of the following: Python, C/C++, SystemC, Make, bash, or object-oriented programming
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Candidates must be based in Ottawa
- Candidates must be available to work on-site at least three days per week
