Senior Architectural Technologist

Job Summary
Senior Architectural Technologist responsible for producing and overseeing technical design and contract documents in line with Owner’s Requirements, collaborating with project teams to ensure designs meet technical guidelines, codes, and regulations. Provides technical design solutions for facility construction (interior and exterior assemblies), coordinates internal production teams and sub-consultants, offers technical mentoring and leadership to less experienced staff, and assists with contract administration including site visits and collaboration with contractors. Strong emphasis on REVIT and BIM workflows, energy/sustainability considerations in Canada, and construction-site experience within commercial, institutional, transit, or industrial projects.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in architectural and building technology from an accredited technical college
- 10+ years’ experience as an Architectural Technologist in an architectural consulting firm
- Experience with commercial, institutional, transit, or industrial project types
- Substantial product knowledge and ability to detail architectural building systems
- Construction site experience
- Understanding of current energy and sustainability requirements in Canada
- REVIT software experience
- Preference for BIM principles & workflows; Microsoft 365 environment; construction site experience; Bluebeam
