Job Summary
Senior Architectural Technologist will lead the technical development of hospitality and restaurant projects from schematic design through construction, producing detailed drawing packages and construction documents, and coordinating with clients, consultants, and municipal authorities. The role emphasizes interpreting design intent into code-compliant technical solutions, conducting site reviews and field measurements, managing permit submissions, resolving construction detailing issues, overseeing quality control of documentation, supporting contract administration and site coordination, and mentoring junior team members on multi-site restaurant programs. Ideal candidates bring 9+ years of Canadian architectural technology experience, a diploma/degree in Architectural Technology or Architecture, strong Revit and AutoCAD skills, knowledge of Canadian Building Codes and bylaws, and the ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects with excellent communication and organizational skills. Travel to site visits is required occasionally.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology or Architecture
- 9+ years of architectural technology experience within Canada
- Deep understanding of Canadian Building Codes, accessibility standards, and local bylaws
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Strong technical detailing and construction knowledge
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Experience coordinating consultant teams and external stakeholders
- Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits when required

- OAA Intern registration is a strong asset or eligible to pursue registration
