Job Summary
Senior Architectural Technologist needed in Calgary for an established architecture/design firm focusing on sustainable, commercial, public, and multi-family projects. Lead and mentor technologists in producing detailed contract documents, coordinate building systems (mechanical, electrical, structural), ensure adherence to Canadian building codes, and drive technical innovation. Responsibilities include producing high-quality construction documentation, reviewing markups, coordinating with a team, managing time and project schedules, and guiding junior staff. Proficiency in Revit required; LEED experience is a plus. Architectural Technology diploma or related education and strong communication skills are essential. Some site experience is preferred and a portfolio of technical work is advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of industry experience with at least 4 years of working knowledge of Canadian building code
- Proficiency in Revit
- Ability to work together in a team environment
- LEED AP or LEED project experience is an asset
- Architectural Technology diploma or related education
- Strong communication skills
- Experience providing technical guidance to junior staff is an asset
- Some site experience preferred
- Possess a portfolio of good technical work is an asset
