Job Summary
Oversee, manage, coordinate, design, and document high-end speculative and custom homes, and small commercial structures for construction. Manage client requirements during schematic and design development stages, produce clear "Builder Set" drawings, and implement architectural standards and quality control policies. Provide final quality control for all work product, assist with revisions to the AutoCAD standards library, and lead daily project activities while performing supervisory duties for junior staff. Collaborate cross-functionally with departments to ensure effective communication and maintain knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction costs. Make exterior material recommendations and enforce architectural guidelines through neighborhood completion.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field from accredited school
- 5+ years' experience in similar position
- A fundamental understanding of construction documentation methods for wood frame construction
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in Adobe CS5 or later
- Proficiency in Sketchup or other computer rendering software
- Ability to keep sensitive information highly confidential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal professionally with clients, vendors, and co-workers on the phone and in person
- Excellent organizational and time management skills

Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Single-Family architecture or Traditional Neighborhood Design
- Knowledge of historically accurate residential design and detailing
- Knowledge of Single-Family design trends
- AIA certification
