Job Summary
Lead architectural projects from concept through completion, managing design teams, coordinating multidisciplinary disciplines, and overseeing preparation of compliant drawings and specifications. Collaborate with clients and senior leadership to define scope, deliverables, and project goals while conducting site visits to ensure design intent during construction. Mentor junior architects, resolve complex technical issues, and integrate sustainable design principles into high-performance building solutions. Participate in client presentations, design reviews, and business development activities to support firm strategic goals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 (ten) years of experience in architectural design
- Licensed Architect (preferred), or equivalent professional certification
- Extensive experience with architectural design software, including Revit, AutoCAD, and other industry-standard tools
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, and construction methods
- Strong client management experience, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, providing direction and support to junior staff
- Ability to handle multiple, complex projects while maintaining high levels of quality and efficiency
- Ability to work at a desk for extended periods
- Ability to travel to job sites as needed
- Ability to lift and move materials or equipment as needed
- Ability to observe construction activities or existing conditions, which may include climbing ladders, walking on roofs, and navigating uneven terrain
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture from an accredited University/College program is preferred but not required
- Advanced knowledge of sustainable design principles, green building construction, and LEED certification (or other equivalent sustainable design certifications) is a plus
