Job Summary
Senior Architect (Hands-On) at Bank of America leads the design and delivery of AI-driven agentic solutions across Client Servicing and Money Movement. Defines architectural vision, target operating environment, and non-functional requirements; collaborates with stakeholders and service providers; shapes the architecture roadmap and technology backlog; guides design decisions, provides options to resolve impediments, and ensures modular, flexible solutions. Acts as hands-on engineering leader, performing design and code reviews to ensure security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability. Requires 10+ years in software engineering/architecture with recent focus on AI/ML and distributed systems, experience with Generative AI, LLMs, orchestration frameworks,-agentic architectures, and knowledge of payments/money movement processes; proficiency with LangChain, RASA or similar; experience taking AI solutions from PoC to production; strong technical stack including Java, Python, ReactJS/.NET, Spring Boot; cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), Kafka, RESTful APIs, API gateways, and DevOps practices; exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture, with recent focus on AI/ML and distributed systems
- Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, orchestration frameworks, and agentic architectures
- Strong understanding of client servicing and/or money movement processes (e.g., payments, transfers, ACH, wires)
- Experience designing AI-driven workflow automation or digital assistants
- Knowledge of risk, compliance, and fraud detection in financial transactions
- Experience with agent frameworks such as LangChain, RASA, or similar
- Demonstrated success taking AI solutions from POC to production scale
- Technology Stack Core Technical Skills: LangChain / LangGraph, Market‐available LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral), Vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, Azure AI Search), Java, Python, ReactJS / .NET, Spring Boot, Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure
