Job Summary
Senior Architect role shaping Mimecast's Governance, Compliance & Insight (GCI) product line by leading architecture across data governance, retention, and compliance. You’ll shape problems with product partners, own integration contracts (APIs, events, data contracts), and build the architectural context (ADRs, data contracts, service interaction patterns). The role involves coordinating across teams, defining performance, availability, security, and cost targets for AI features, and engaging with Enterprise Architecture for alignment. Ideal candidates have extensive experience designing at scale with cloud-native AWS services, Kafka, distributed systems, and experience articulating solutions that leverage LLMs, agents, retrieval, and related AI components; strong communication and stakeholder navigation skills; and a track record of leading senior, product-shaped architecture initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of professional software engineering and architecture experience, with at least 2 years in a role with significant product-shaping responsibility
- Willingness to use AI development tools in a professional setting
