Job Summary
Senior Applied AI Engineer to help revolutionize AI-driven customer engagement for GE Appliances. Design, build, and support scalable AI solutions powering contact center workflows (e.g., order management, repair scheduling, troubleshooting) and agent experiences. Develop AI copilots and conversational agents, tune NLP models, implement dialog management, and integrate with backend systems (CRM/ERP/telephony). Collaborate with architects, product owners, and domain experts; drive development standards, code quality, and observable performance; mentor junior engineers and contribute to CI/CD and DevOps practices. Role is headquartered in Louisville, KY with availability to work remotely.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- 5 years of relevant software engineering experience
- Experience with AI use cases such as conversational AI or NLP in customer-facing solutions
- Proficiency with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) for event-driven/real-time architectures
- Scripting languages (Python, JavaScript) for integrations and agent functionality
- Designing conversational flows, decision trees, and systems supporting customer inquiries and transactions
- Experience integrating contact center platforms with CRM systems (Salesforce, Dynamics, ServiceNow)
- Hands-on experience developing and optimizing AI chatbots or virtual assistants
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Experience using work management tools (Jira, Smartsheet)
