Job Summary
Lead customer engineering conversations from onboarding through production, gathering requirements, providing DFM feedback, and managing systems integration discussions. Bridge customer product design and manufacturing engineering by translating CAD, BOMs, and design packages into executable manufacturing plans. Serve as the technical lead for the 30-day new customer launch process, identifying gaps between customer expectations and capabilities with proposed solutions. Represent Kinetyc's technical capability in customer-facing settings including presentations, site visits, and design reviews. Contribute to FLEXembly and innovation initiatives where customer insight drives product development opportunities. Manage multiple customers in parallel while maintaining long-term partnership relationships.
Required Qualifications
- 8–15 years of engineering experience with meaningful time on the product/customer side
- Background in mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering
- Experience reading and interpreting CAD, BOMs, and technical design packages
- Worked in or with contract manufacturers, Tier 1/2 suppliers, or product development environments
- Familiar with the pace and ambiguity of early-stage or scaling hardware companies
- Strong communicator: equally effective in a technical design review and an executive business conversation
