Job Summary
Lead application development for GC/IC products by designing experimental protocols, optimizing analytical methods, and providing in-depth pre-sales and after-sales support to customers. Deliver technical training and resolve high-difficulty experimental issues while establishing partnerships with standard manufacturers to facilitate industry standard creation. Collect and analyze market feedback, product defects, and competitor intelligence to drive product improvements and new development initiatives. Requires a Master's degree with five years of experience and familiarity with GC maintenance and mass spectrometry. This hybrid role involves 50% business travel and supports Phenomenex's mission to advance scientific analysis for global health.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in relevant majors
- 5 years of experience
- Experience with GC from well-known instrument manufacturers
- Familiarity with the use and maintenance of various GC companies
- Experience in mass spectrometry
- Solid knowledge of sample pretreatment and chromatographic separation
- Good customer communication skills
- Ability to travel 50%
