Senior Application Support Engineer

Job Summary
Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents at the 2nd level within agreed SLAs, performing root cause analysis to identify and mitigate recurring issues. Enhance monitoring and alerting systems using Nagios, Grafana, or NewRelic, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve system stability. Reproduce incidents in test environments to validate fixes before deployment and provide technical guidance to junior team members. This role requires shift work and occasional international travel due to our global clientele. Bally's Intralot is a leading iGaming and lottery solutions provider listed on the Euronext Athens, combining Bally's digital expertise with INTRALOT's lottery leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Hold a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Have 4+ years of experience in Application Support, System Administration, SW-QA, or DevOps
- Possess strong system administration skills in Linux
- Be proficient in MySQL
- Be familiar with Oracle or MongoDB
- Have experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Grafana, or NewRelic
- Be comfortable with automation and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) for troubleshooting and optimization
- Communicate effectively in both Greek and English
- Be a team player who values collaboration and knowledge sharing
- This role may require shift work
- This role may require occasional international travel
