Job Summary
Senior SQL-focused Application Support Analyst based in Cape Town, hybrid role with 3 days from home per week. Responsibilities include writing, troubleshooting, and optimising SQL and PL/SQL code, analysing complex data problems with custom SQL, acting as a technical escalation point for database and application issues, performing root cause analysis, reviewing and improving queries for performance and accuracy, gathering client requirements to translate into SQL solutions, ensuring SLAs/KPIs are met, contributing to documentation, mentoring junior analysts in SQL development and debugging, participating in UAT, and supporting diverse client engagements. The role emphasizes Oracle PL/SQL, query performance tuning, relational database design, data integrity, and clear communication with non-technical stakeholders, within UK hours and a flexible, people-focused culture at MRI Software.
