Job Summary
Design and develop software applications within an agile delivery process, supporting architectural direction and solution specification for new and existing services. Implement technical solutions through the full suite of development tasks, including validation and infrastructure activities in automated pipelines. Create monitoring and logging solutions for production environments while ensuring secure code and coding standards. Partner with stakeholders to identify business needs, provide knowledge transfer, and support solutions in a build-it-yourself model. Contribute to the next generation of commerce infrastructure and analytics for the largest global payment processor.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience in designing, developing and implementing software applications
- Full stack development experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as computer science, business informatics or mathematics
- Comparable education or professional experience
- In-depth experience with several full stack technologies such as Spring, Spring-Boot, Spring-Web, JSF, JPA/Hibernate, REST, Kafka, HTML/CSS, JavaScript and Bootstrap
- Excellent knowledge in JEE/Spring, JAVA 8, Maven, Shell-Scripting
- Experience with micro-service architectures and linux based operating systems
- Experienced in runtime, build and deployment technologies as well as project tools, e.g. Eclipse, IntelliJ, GitLab, JIRA and Confluence
- Knowledge of modern database technologies (relational/non-relational)
- Knowledge of virtual infrastructure and associated services (e.g. public cloud) as well as containerization and orchestration technologies (ideally docker, pcf, kubernetes)
- Knowledge of payments industry ideal (ISO8583, POS etc.)
- Must be comfortable with being considered a reliable and proactive influential team member who is not afraid to take on responsibility in the team (for highlighting, planning and implementing improvements in existing and new applications)
- Must be high on social skills, team spirit and empathy
- Can do, will do open-minded attitude
Desired Qualifications
- some of which is preferably in a tech lead/leadership role
- Full stack development experience is preferred
- Willingness to take ownership and the ability to demonstrate strong personal commitment
