Job Summary
Design, build, and support scalable applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js (TypeScript), APIs, and GCP, deploying microservices via containers to Google Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and Kubernetes. Lead solution design, coordinate work across developers and stakeholders, and facilitate architecture reviews while driving modernization initiatives for scalability and security. Mentor developers through code reviews, resolve technical risks, and troubleshoot complex production issues using the observability stack. Requires 7+ years of experience with TypeScript, GCP, and containerized deployment.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of software development experience
- Proven experience leading software projects and influencing technical direction
- Strong, current expertise with TypeScript
- Strong expertise with MongoDB (native Node.js driver; Mongoose a plus)
- Strong expertise with React
- Hands-on experience with Dependency injection / IoC containers (InversifyJS or similar)
- Hands-on experience with Redis-backed job queues (BullMQ or similar) and Google Cloud Tasks / Pub/Sub
- Hands-on experience with Auth0 / OIDC / JWT-based authentication
- Hands-on experience with Schema validation with Zod
- Hands-on experience with Modern React tooling - Redux Toolkit, React Hook Form/Formik, and Material UI (MUI) or similar
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud Tasks, Pub/Sub, and Secret Manager
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized service deployment
- Hands-on experience building scalable web applications, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
- Hands-on experience mentoring developers and leading technical discussions
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as a Technical Lead, Lead Developer, or Project Lead
- Experience with payments/card processing, PCI-DSS, or client-side field-level encryption
- Experience with construction software, ERP systems, financial systems, or expense management solutions
- Experience building or integrating expense management, AP, invoice processing, procurement, or purchasing applications
- Experience with feature flag release management
- Experience integrating LLMs / generative AI into production applications
- Familiarity with equivalent technologies on the Azure / .NET / C# stack
